At Fernandes Autohandel, you will join a dynamic and growing automotive organization where performance, collaboration, and continuous development are key. As a Purchaser, you are responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of automotive parts. You maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiate purchase prices, place and follow up on orders, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure all purchasing administration is accurate and up to date. Working closely with the warehouse, parts sales, customs/expediting, workshop, and other internal departments, you play a key role in ensuring that the right parts are available at the right time for both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the full procurement process and ensure accurate order follow-up.
• Maintain supplier relationships, request quotations, negotiate prices, and resolve delivery issues.
• Place purchase orders and monitor lead times, deliveries, goods receipts, invoices, returns, and documentation.
• Keep item data, prices, stock levels, order quantities, delivery terms, and item codes up to date.
• Prepare cost price calculations, purchasing overviews, reports, and recommendations.
• Contribute to annual ordering, stock planning, and demand forecasting.
• Analyze supplier performance, costs, market trends, innovations, and alternative suppliers.
• Support contract follow-up, supplier agreements, cost control, and procurement efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree level, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or purchasing administration.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, purchasing systems, ERP data, and structured reporting.
• Strong numerical insight, cost awareness, accuracy, and analytical ability.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Practical, solution-oriented mindset with initiative, accountability, integrity, and ownership.
• Strong planning, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills, with a strong command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
