Are you a finance professional with a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and experience in financial administration and payroll? Then this opportunity is for you!

We are looking for a Finance Accounting Officer to support our operations in Guyana. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, structuring, and optimizing the financial administration of the business, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and payroll processing to support effective business operations and decision-making.

What will you do?

  • Manage the full financial administration, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
  • Process and verify financial transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records
  • Process and review monthly payroll, including salaries, overtime, deductions, and taxes
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and payroll regulations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Analyze financial results and identify variances and improvement opportunities
  • Report financial results and insights to local management and Head Office in Suriname
  • Support the preparation of budgets and monitor expenses and budget variances
  • Contribute to forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with local financial laws, regulations, and internal procedures
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits
  • Implement and monitor internal control procedures

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s in finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of financial administration and reporting
  • Proven experience in payroll administration is required
  • Knowledge of local payroll legislation or willingness to learn quickly
  • Experience with financial systems such as Exact, SAP, or similar
  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy
  • Proactive, independent, and hands-on mindset
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving attitude
  • Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of ownership
